During the years I found out that my mind works better when I take notes about everything. Every video that I watch, every article that I read and every meeting I attend to, forces me to take some notes. I’ve tried to use automatic transcript tools to take notes on my behalf but my mind just works better if I’m the one taking those notes. It helps me focus on the topic and pinpoint the stuff that matters, but most of all it makes me reach mental clarity. The only thing that I find difficult is organizing notes and having a distraction free tool to take them. I think that with a paper tablet and a digital typewriter I’ve reached both of these goals. One makes me write stuff with a pen, which is great for my flow of thought and the other gives me the speed of typing, and depending on what I’m going to write I would choose one tool over the other.
Lot of stuff has changed! I migrated all my repos to Codeberg because I felt that GitHub was a bit too much for me. This blog now is served through Cloudflare Pages by using wrangler for deploying the static site. The blog itself has been migrated to Codeberg. I really find it quite simpler to interact with and it’s not as annoying as GitHub.
I’m starting to explore Claude Code for automating the boring stuff, but I will continue to experiment and work on my personal projects by leveraging LLMs only for rubber duck debugging or sketch code that I’ll refine myself.
